To showcase events and information of interest to the Benelux Salesforce Community, in a concise and easy to digest fashion, but not to replicate information easily found elsewhere.

Who is the “us”?

This website is no one person’s effort, and amazing things happen when we come together. There’s a team of volunteers who help make this website what it is – mainly the people running all the events. We also want to shout out the people who contribute in other ways, e.g. those who volunteer to create and maintain WordPress and beyond. On a technical note, responsibility lies with the editor-in-chief for our website, and that is Paul Ginsberg.

What’s the origins of BeneluxSFCommunity?

This website was founded in 2019. Inspired by the original beneluxusergroups.com (which was designed by Jan Vandevelde); this website’s name has been borrowed from #DutchSFCommunity concept originated by Sergey Erlikh; artwork, such as our logo, with the assistance of Michaël De Feyter.

Special shout out

This goes to Naveen Gabrani and Gaurav Singh of Astrea IT. They volunteered time to turn this poorly-detailed concept into a practical reality! Astrea specialise in offshore Salesforce development with expertise in the Sales, Service, Community and Nonprofit Clouds.

AVG / GDPR / Privacy Policy

We don’t use your data for mailings or distribute to third parties (unless you directly contact us, and it is deemed appropriate). Some plugins do use your data, specifically Google Analytics so we can see how our website is used, and WP Google Maps plugin to enable mapping functionality.

These are the details: Some visual components of WP Google Maps use 3rd party libraries which are loaded over the network. At present the libraries are Google Maps, Open Street Map, jQuery DataTables and FontAwesome. When loading resources over a network, the 3rd party server will receive your IP address and User Agent string amongst other details. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of the respective libraries for details on how they use data and the process to exercise your rights under the GDPR regulations.

WP Google Maps uses jQuery DataTables to display sortable, searchable tables, such as that seen in the Advanced Marker Listing and on the Map Edit Page. jQuery DataTables in certain circumstances uses a cookie to save and later recall the “state” of a given table – that is, the search term, sort column and order and current page. This data is held in local storage and retained until this is cleared manually. No libraries used by WP Google Maps transmit this information.
